The Post's Joseph Même has learned exclusively that FC Cincinnati are in advanced negotiations to sign 25 year-old Brazilian forward / winger Clayton da Silveira da Silva. Clayton, as he is more commonly known, is currently unattached and available for immediate acquisition.

While the deal is yet to be finalized, both sides are eager to see it cross the finish line and hope it will be concluded soon.

Clayton, who most recently played for Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine, would provide desperately-needed attacking depth and could immediately challenge Brandon Vazquez as the second-choice striker behind fellow Brazilian Brenner.

The Post will have more on this story as it develops.
