FC Cincinnati has posted a public job opening for a new position for "MLS 2 Team Administrator." The job, listed as reporting directly to the Director of Soccer Opreations, has the following description:

The MLS 2 Team Administrator will manage all aspects of team administration and team travel logistics.  This role will work directly with the Director of Soccer Operations and be focused on the MLS 2 team.  An important function of this role will be the on boarding of all players as they arrive in Cincinnati, OH.  The MLS 2 Team Administrator will be the primary contact for all player related team services.

MLS announced the creation of "MLS 2" last month, with a plan to begin play in 2022. This lower-division league is anticipated to be a developmental league and provide a much-needed link between various developmental academies run by clubs and the club first teams. This developmental role has been previously split between dedicated reserve clubs and independent clubs in leagues such as the United Soccer League.

It appears FC Cincinnati is making plans to be a part of this league when it launches.
