Tonight is Matchday 18 and, oh would you look at that! It's Columbus again! Remember when playing them was a big deal? Anyway, here's three questions we have going into tonight's "Hell is Getting Old" match.

Would another team let their manager go win-less in four matches against a rival?

The score on aggregate this season between FC and Columbus is 7-0 in favor of Columbus. That's borderline absurd for a rivalry. But would another manager get as much time against a rival to continue to under perform? You'd have to imagine FC Cincinnati is going to be lifeless going forward tonight and the defense is missing virtually every starter, so the prospects aren't looking good. But what has Stam done so far this season to warrant the benefit of the doubt? A draw here, ideally one with goals, would be the biggest victory of the season.

Who on earth is starting on defense tonight?

Mathieu Deplagne, Greg Garza, Jurgen Locadia, Kendall Waston, Maikel van der Werff, and Przemyslaw Tyton are all ruled out tonight for medical concerns. Pettersson is still coming back from Mono, while Gutman had to be rushed back from injury over the weekend for Zico Bailey. Gutman, Hagglund, Pettersson, and Abdul-Saalam seems plausible, but if you're having Minnesota United 2019 flashbacks you're not alone.

Is there any point in hoping someone scores for Cincinnati?

It has been over a month since FC Cincinnati fans have been able to cheer for a goal. The 74th minute of a then 2-0 match against NYCFC is the last time FCC fans could cheer mid game. With former EPL and Bundesliga starker Jurgen Locadia out, it's up to Joe Gyau, Brandon Vazquez, and newcomer Alvaro Barreal to score a goal tonight. Or not. 556 minutes is the length of this goalless streak and that means FC is in the middle of their second 550+ goalless streak of the season.
