It's lucky matchday number 13 of the MLS irregular season where FC Cincinnati squares up with the Philadelphia Union. Here are the three questions on my mind going into tonight's match at the last (?) fan-less match at Nippert.

Did Vazquez play his way into starting up top?

I have spent the last two weeks begging and pleading with Jaap Stam via The Post to start Yuya Kubo up top along Locadia. And he goes and puts Vazquez up there. Alright, fair enough. At least Locadia has a strike partner now, and one that has been very productive in his limited appearances this season. Maybe he has played his way into the line up, or maybe they saw something against New York Red Bulls in one of the last 15 matches they've had against them. Either way, Locadia with help up top is a nice change of pace.

Did Deplange play his way out of the starting XI?

Deplange missed the last match due to yellow card accumulation, but it wasn't looking pretty for the french defender. He has looked sloppy with his passing and is constantly getting beat by opposing attackers.  Enter native son Nick Hagglund. Hagglund is a player not many in the fan-base respect, and didn't look great in 2019 for the Orange and Blue. But who did? He filled in perfectly for Deplange last match and earned MLS Team of the Week honors as the cheese on top of the three way. Will Haggs start again tonight?

Is this our midfield?

Frankie Amaya, Yuya Kubo, and Haris Medunjanin appear to be the midfield three for this team baring injury or suspension.  Yes this means Cruz is out, same with de Jong, and even MLSisBack stalwart Caleb Stanko is not in this midfield. Slowly but surely Stam has settled into these three, and if these are indeed the starters again tonight, who is taken out with Kamo inevitably, eventually, arrives?
