PREVIEW: Messi and Inter Miami to Celebrate 513 Day
SHAWN BEHMER
Here we go again. The Messi Circus is coming to town for a not-so-anticipated rematch against our FC Cincinnati. More importantly, the match falls on the greatest holiday in the world — 513 Day.
I’m going to be honest with you. I don’t want to talk about Messi. I don’t want to talk about Inter Miami. Instead, let’s just focus on what matters: Cincinnati, the place we call home.
So, with that said, let’s take a look at ways you can show off your Cincinnati pride during this beloved national holiday.
How to celebrate 513 day
Ah, Cincinnati. It’s not a city. It’s not a state. It’s a Republic. And it’s only right that we fulfill our civic duty as Cincinnatians by pledging allegiance to The Republic of Cincinnati. That is the true purpose of 513 Day.
513 Day also commemorates chili belonging on spaghetti and exclaiming “Ope” when passing by random strangers at Kroger. Above all, it’s a day to be even more thankful we don’t live in Columbus.
Here are just ~ some ~ ways you can show how much 513 Day means to you.
Eat a SkyRosa
No excuses. If Roman Celentano did it, so can you.
Also Eat This
No caption needed.
Do the 9-9-90’ Challenge
9 cheese coneys. 9 beers. Within 90 minutes while watching The FC.
This mad lad actually did it.
Also, for legal reasons, this might be a good time to remind you to drink responsibly.
$5.13 Beers at Streetside
Streetside Brewery is running a $5.13 beer special all day! It’s also a great spot to watch The FC.
Attend The FC Match
You may have to pay a premium to attend this highly sought-out match thanks to the Messi Effect™️.
If you happen to be in attendance, the prematch festivities should be electric as Ted Karras of your Cincinnati Bengals will be pulling the sword at TQL. This comes days after The FC partnered with Ted Karras’ Cincy Hats.
FC Cincinnati vs Inter Miami Analysis
Now might be a good time to actually analyze the match and predict how The FC will line up.
Considering the congested schedule, I believe Pat Noonan will make a few bold, unexpected changes with the lineup.
